You, The Crazy One

This is one of my favorite Ad shot for Apple company. This Ad was very important for Apple company as it wanted to reinvent itself and wanted to tell people as to what the company stands for. I just loved it. I love it because of the words used in the ad. Just below the video I have copy pasted the exact words (in Italics) used in the Ad.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do."

We may not become Mahatma Gandhi or Thomas Edison or Picasso. We may not change the world as they have done it. We may not become famous like them. We may not invent something that would change the way people think or live. But somewhere we have been the rebels in a small way. Those misfits whom the society or your relatives thought that your are not going to come up in Life. I believe that somewhere we did object to the status quo of the society. In our own way we did what we felt was the right thing to do no matter what others said. No matter how difficult it was we listened to our intuition. Yes, we live in a society and have to accept some norms even if we didn't like it. Still being there we took the path that was less taken and emerged as a winner.

This blog is a small dedication and an effort to remember those small acts of ours which may not have changed the world, but it did make us happy and proud and gave us the confidence to live life the way we wanted to. May be you took a course which others thought is useless, may be you stood by your family when everything was bad, may be you stood by your friend when others let go, you took a stand which others thought was wrong at first. Breaking rules is not good, but sometimes you need to break some to make others realize that there exists a life which is beyond what is defined by our society.

I strongly believe that every person born is bound to be special and have the ability to change the world either in a big way or small way. It's up to us whether we do so or not. Everyone is trying so hard to fit themselves into this crazy world and in the process they forget what they truly love to do. You deserve a pat on the back for being a rebel, for challenging the status quo of the society and for taking a stand against all odds. You, the crazy one....you are a winner. Walk on with your head held high as the people who oppossed  you for being the way you are, are still long way behind you hoping for a Miracle to come and rescue them.
