Departed Love

She lay there in silence
As her dear ones bid goodbye.
He stood there in silence
With a million thoughts in mind.
Never knew this day would come
As their love drifted away.
Life looked like an illusion to him
With the passing of every moment.
As he walked on those paths
Angels heard his silent cry.
Never to walk alone
He promised to come back.
The day she left him in person
He got married to her memories.

  5. Heartfelt words. Separation, for whatever reasons it may be, always leaves us stranded and in the middle of nowhere.
