Departed Love

She lay there in silence

As her dear ones bid goodbye.

He stood there in silence

With a million thoughts in mind.

Never knew this day would come

As their love drifted away.

Life looked like an illusion to him

With the passing of every moment.

As he walked on those paths

Angels heard his silent cry.

Never to walk alone

He promised to come back.

The day she left him in person

He got married to her memories.

Let's walk together on this unknown path;

Us being together is what I cherish the most;

Your hug is what I wish for every single day;

None of us can walk alone without being there for each other;

Every relationship has a saturation point

But let's not break the memories of us being together;

Let's just walk together holding hand in hand,

I was waiting for you to come and hug me

But was never prepared for what's in store

Your arrival made me happy

But your ignorance was all I got

They say journey is all alone

Yet I refused to accept it

I remembered all the great days we had together

But at the end what is left are just memories

Even though we had fights

I was always enthusiastic to meet you

Even though time heals everything

It also makes you realize that you are all alone

And everything else is temporary

As the wait continues with little hope

I can only hold on to the memories of us being together.
