Blogging has been a great thing for me. Recently
the world celebrated the International Women’s Day. I wanted to write a post
dedicated to women. But then I didn’t want it to be on that day only (i.e. on
Women’s Day). I thought why don’t we celebrate women’s day every single day, every year from Jan 1st to Dec 31st. So this blog is a dedication to
my fellow blogger friends who are women, who blog beautifully by spreading the
smile and happiness.

Women Deserve Respect
Rape
Means
“the crime, typically committed by a man, of
forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with the offender against
their will”
I am
a positive person and would love to inspire people and get inspired from them.
But I have no idea how to inspire a girl who is raped. I feel shame even to
approach considering the resentment she would be having against men, which is
perfectly right on her part.

Girls Over Heels
Yes
women going overboard in wearing heels. I often
wondered why women wear heels. I
have seen women wearing it and feeling very uncomfortable while walking. For some it is a necessity, for others it is a
fashion statement. But then also why do they wear it. By force, by compulsion,
by choice..?? I did try one of those heels as one of my colleague, who was
wearing one, asked me to try it. This might sound weird, but I did try them and
immediately felt uncomfortable and the lack of balance. Forget about walking, I
could barely balance myself.

Why do they do, what they do…?
As
I finish my work for the day and go to the parking lot to take my bike to ride
back home, a strange feeling of fun filled with great enthusiasm strikes me. The
half an hour ride back to home is just not a ride, but a journey for me which I
enjoy it thoroughly. On my way back I see them, the transgender (i.e. men converted themselves into women), standing
and waving to people pass who pass by them.

Taboo - I don't think so
I wanted to talk about this specific issue, but didn’t know how to go about it. But thanks to Chintan’s blog (http://chintangupta.blogspot.com/2011/07/swing-that-mood.html). Before reading her blog, I didn’t have the courage to write this blog. I had gone to Rajasthan and there visited one temple, which is known for its wonderful carvings and is a must visit place. At the entrance of the temple, a board was put up on which some conditions were written mainly for people visiting the temple. Among them one of the points caught my attention. I don’t remember the exact wordings but it read something similar to this, “Women during their menstrual periods or mood swings, should not enter the temple.”

Salute to the Indian Women
This news came in CNN, I felt really proud and thought of sharing with you.
As you people might be knowing or heard of, some of the most worse crimes committed against humanity can be seen Africa. It may be the darfur crisis, rising unemployment, raping of women, killing people, rising inflation to unprecedented levels and so on.
In order to bring peace and harmony in these nations, the UN sends it peace keeping forces.Liberia, one of the country in the African continent has been torn apart by killings, bad law & order situation, raping of women & minor girls, unemployment, small kids holding guns and roaming around the streets. It’s new lady president requested UN to send some of its peace keeping forces to its nation so as to bring peace, harmony and stability to the region. She specifically requested UN to send women peace keeping forces. The UN responded by sending 125 women peace keeping forces and the best part is that all these 125 peace keepers are Indians.
The president is very satisfied with the way they (125 women) have handled the situation and is full of praise for them. Even the Liberian people are very happy about their service. The effect was so great and quick, that some Liberian women and girls started coming out of their houses and many even asked whether they can join the army. The nation is not fully free from violence, but now the situation is lot better.
The credit goes to those 125 strong, resilient, brave, courageous, dedicated Indian women peace keepers who have done a commendable job leaving their family and friends in India. Kudos to the Indian women peace keepers. I would like to sign off my blog saying:
“I Salute to those women who have made us proud, an achievement which every Indian will be proud off. These peace keepers not only brought peace, but also spread true love among the citizens of Liberia.”
