Flawless is an Illusion

Love me for a reason
And I hope it's me
Flawless doesn't make sense to me
Because I am human
Let me be the flawed one
For it keeps me grounded
God created me for a reason
And I hope you understand the value of it
Flawed ones are always available
But your flawless thinking keeps me away
Flawless is an illusion
Which makes you crave for the impossible
My beauty is visible
Only to those who are flawed
To be flawed is God's Gift
To be flawless is your Illusion
Do love me for a reason
And I hope flawless is not the reason.

I, the Fortunate One

I, the Fortunate One

I feel life is at its best, when it teaches some very important lessons. We all know everyone’s life has some issues or problems, yet some are well at looking at the bright side of it. I would like to share two recent instances where I realized how lucky I am to be born as a human being first and then with less problems when compared to others.

My Interview Journey

Sometimes the journey is pretty tough and the way you look at it makes it totally worth it or a painful one. For anyone, after completing their college or higher studies, they want to get a job in a good company with a good salary. But the problem is, this is not as easy as it seems to be. If it was so easy, then everyone would stick on to their respective jobs and no one would leave their jobs. Remember how our parents used to do their jobs, joining a company and staying their for long, like 20 or 30 years and then retire.

Fortunate or not, I have attended a lot of interviews and if you ask me how do I look at it, well I am happy that I had to attend so many interviews and learnt a lot with so many unique experiences. As Steve Jobs said, "You cannot connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect it looking backwards" I would like to share some unique interview experiences of mine, which taught me a lot and made me a better person. I would not like to share the name the company, instead name it as company 1, 2 and 3.

Dedicated to a Friend

Dear God,

Give her pain but also give her the courage to face it
Show her darkness but somewhere also show her the light
Forgive her for all the wrongs she might have done, for her soul is pure
Give her the power to wipe someone's tears, for she has the power to make a million hearts smile
Give her difficulties, but always watch over her
Show her the path and someday she will show it to a million people
Along the way show her signs, signs that leads her to the destination
Give her strength to walk that extra mile, for she can be a Beacon of Hope for the needy
Let the angels look over her as she goes to bed with a million dreams
Thank you for the friend, an inspirer to many through her words
Let the ray of light always guide her as she keeps walking over the steps of unknown
As she steps into a new year, let her journey be guided by your blessings.

Prashanth

This poem is dedicated to my friend, Aditi (www.islejazz.blogspot.in) who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow (July 7th)...:)

Time For a New Beginning

As we step into a new year, we can be sure that everyone would have learnt something important in the year 2012. No matter whatever has happened to you in 2012, good or bad, lets just accept that it was a great learning experience, at least for me.

There is always time for a new beginning. Time to start new things, which was not possible earlier. Let’s just start on a positive note, with positive thoughts in mind and believe that 2013 will be a good one.

Always believe that things will work out your way. Never give up on what you wanted to do. Yes, it is true that things may not and will not happen the way we want to, but we can all try in our own ways to make it happen. The power is with us. Just imagine, if only things happened the way we all wanted to, then there is no fun in living a Life. Life doesn’t excite you then, at least that’s what I feel. Let God decide what and how he wants us to learn things and we will all gear up for the challenge. Let him throw any difficulty and we will try our best to deal with it.

Hey YOU, Soak No More In Others

Satisfy means, "to fulfill the desires, expectations, needs, or demands of a person, the mind, etc." (From Dictionary.com website)

These days when we hear the word Satisfy, it kind of gives a negative impression or at least an indication about the negativity in our minds. Considering the amount of cut throat competition we have today, everyone is stressed and each one of us is trying to satisfy someone or the other. Satisfying others is not such a bad thing, but when we do so at the cost of our happiness, our own self, we feel defeated, depressed and let down all the time. There is a long list of people whom we try to satisfy by not being able to live up to their expectations like colleagues, friends, relatives, strangers and whom not. But in the process of doing so, we forget to satisfy those who make a big difference to our lives. Everyone of us have this one statement that keeps striking our mind at some point of time and for some as a regular feature, "I am tired of satisfying others, enough is enough, it's my Life and I want to live it my way. Let others think what they want to."

Smile

That Smile,
There is something special about it
It feels as if god had sculpted it with great care
It never fakes because it doesn't know how to
Words are never enough to express its beauty
Even the heaven will be at Awwww.....
What lies beneath that Smile is pure truth
Either the Innocence that draws you
Or the Simplicity that attracts you
Your eyes may stop blinking
Breathing may stop for a while
for there is a Sparkle that is never seen before
It has the power to melt a lonely heart
Conveys things which a thousand words cannot
for that is the Power of an Innocent Smile.
As it glows, it makes the other person to become still
and enjoy the cuteness of the smile.

Keep Smiling,
Prashanth.

Can You Come...I am Waiting

You made me to love life. There were no conditions just me and you. There were none. You were there always. You held me tight in your arms so that I don't fall again. There was something unique in you. You never said a word nor expected anything from me. There was bliss, there was heaven. I never felt the need for anyone else when I had you. You never went out of sight. You absorbed all the crap that was thrown at me. You never complained. You were just still when people abused you. You were the one who provided me the strength to live life as I wanted it to. You were always appreciative of me for whatever things I did. Your presence made me feel good and I feel blessed for I can fall back on you whenever I needed support. Your silent prayers made me feel better. My eagerness to be successful was replaced by the eagerness to be the satisfied one.

You were never visible and never wanted anyone to see you. I want to see you and feel you. I want to hug you and say thank you. I lay bare before you, I am waiting....God, can you please come.

Keep Smiling,
Prashanth.

Get Screwed and Reclaim Your Life

Get screwed. Yes, it’s good to be the screwed one. Enough of satisfying people, compromising oneself, forgetting about oneself, sacrificing oneself for the sake of others and waiting endlessly for that deserved appreciation.

You may be doing fine, but deep down you know you terribly miss something. Go ahead and appreciate yourself. If you don’t, then no one else will do. Love your body, love your ways and means, love your style, love your smile and love every bit of Being You. Forget the heaviness in your mind for a while and allow it roam freely wherever it wants to, for that is what the mind intends to do.

Taboo - I don't think so

I wanted to talk about this specific issue, but didn’t know how to go about it. But thanks to Chintan’s blog (http://chintangupta.blogspot.com/2011/07/swing-that-mood.html). Before reading her blog, I didn’t have the courage to write this blog. I had gone to Rajasthan and there visited one temple, which is known for its wonderful carvings and is a must visit place. At the entrance of the temple, a board was put up on which some conditions were written mainly for people visiting the temple. Among them one of the points caught my attention. I don’t remember the exact wordings but it read something similar to this, “Women during their menstrual periods or mood swings, should not enter the temple.”

Hey God, What’s up…??

Firstly, to all those God loving people, I have nothing against God. In our country, if you don’t go to temple, it means you are doing something wrong. Atleast, that’s what my experience says. If you say you don’t go to temple, people’s expressions will be like…. “What, how can you do that, what’s wrong with you…..” I don’t think God expects you to come to him every now and then. I only believe in one thing, that there exists some super natural thing it may be God or something else, thing which knows everything about me, even more than what I know myself.

Life is Beautiful

Hey people, looks like these days there are so many ways to get upset about something or someone. So many things are happening in each one's life. Cheer up, there is always a silver lining, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. If the light at the end of the tunnel is looks too far, just break open the tunnel. In a day, you have so many ways to get hurt, provided you allow it. Life is Beautiful, its damn right. No second thoughts about it.
